tl;dr;

  • Put Dice into the Goals (top right) to level up the tier (4th tier is final)
  • Click and drag workers into card slots.
  • Some cards need dice as inputs.

Made for the GMTK 2022 Jam themed "Roll of the Dice".  I created this game by myself with some ideas for my Twitch chat. I loosely based this game of off the game Stack Lands as I had just seen Day9 play it earlier this week.  I made this game live on twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/aarimous).

How To Play:

  1. “Work Cards” always need a worker.  Some might need dice (like the river water). *You can move cards around by clicking and dragging
  2. Dice represent resource:
    1. Red = Food
    2. Blue = Water
    3. Gray = Materials
    4.  Green = Any Type
  3. Fill the goals for each tier to win.
    1. Completing a tier gives you more work cards
  4. You can Click and drag workers to assign them to “Work Cards”
  5. Workers get hungry, so you will need to feed them Food Dice (by dropping a red dice on the worker) otherwise they will slow down. Overly full workers will also work slowly

Cool concept. I absolutely love your sound effects. The tiers can be solved though with only the first two Water cards, but not as fun as using all of them.

Wow, this is an awesome fun game. I love the sounds and mechanics. Would be fun to see much more mechanical variation

Fun game! The art is simple and understandable, it sticks out in a minimalistic way. Super interesting concept too. I had to think about it for a bit to really understand the rules. However, once I did understand the rules, the game was a blast. It must have been a battle to complete a card game and dice system in that given amount of time! I think this would've made it in the top 100 if it was some how a bit more understandable at first glance. Game jams are notorious for favoring simple 10 second playtime game ideas.

Overall, I enjoyed this game a lot! :)

Wow that means a lot that you think this was a top 100. I for sure could have used an extra 1-2 hrs to smooth out the tutorial and explain the game quickly. Thanks for playing!

Very cute. however, weird bug, river water won't accept input dice? Reroll works just fine ... edit: Ah my bad! Me and my monitor. Though, if I can't tell the difference in color, that'll be an obstacle for color-blind people.

Naw, there are some bugs... it was made it 48 hours ;)

A ton of content for the short amount of time offered by the jam!

Seems like if you're sufficiently patient you can complete everything using the first three buildings, making all the other buildings unimportant. I guess speedrunners could better take advantage of them, but there's no built-in timer to track your run duration.
